Dahoud

Dahoud is my best friend and my current top horse. I won the five-star Grand Prix Special in Doha with him and took part in the biggest World Cup tournaments in Europe in Amsterdam, s'Hertogenbosch and London.

Can:
  • all Grand Prix lessons
Has:
  • CDI5* Grand Prix Special won
  • achieved over 70 % at five-star level
  • competed in the World Cup stages in s'Hertogenbosch, Amsterdam and London
Likes:

Sugar! When I mount, he's always waiting by the tack room for his piece of sugar before riding

Dislikes:

other horses, dogs, in fact all animals. Nobody is allowed to get too close to him at the show, he becomes a little dragon

Our journey together:

I saw Dahoud for the first time as an eight-year-old at the CDI in Zakrzów, Poland, under Severo Jurado Lopez and immediately fell in love with him. I had a special feeling about him right from the start because he reminded me of my Di Sandro. Of course I had great respect after Dahoud was trained by Severo, a rider with enormous experience and ability. But my feeling was right and Dahoud has already fulfilled my childhood dreams! The five-star victory in Doha, Qatar, and especially the World Cup in London were very emotional. The atmosphere was unique and Dahoud surpassed himself there.

What makes him/her special:

Dahoud is my absolute favourite horse - and it shows. If I had to make a decision, I would always choose him. Anything is possible with him: riding out, big tournaments, full arena - he always remains calm and reliable. He doesn't look at anything and gives me security in every situation. It sounds cheesy, but I believe that we love each other so much that we will do anything for each other.
