Diana Porsche celebrates
a home victory in Máriakálnok
Diana Porsche made her debut this weekend in her new sporting home of Hungary, winning the international three-star Grand Prix in Máriakálnok aboard Dahoud. Riding her partner Imhotep, the Salzburg native competed in the World Cup tour and narrowly missed the podium.
To kick off the 2026 outdoor season, Diana Porsche competed in her first tournament in her new home country of Hungary, held in Máriakálnok (HUN). She presented her 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding Dahoud in the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special classes of the international three-star event. She aced the Grand Prix with a magnificent 69.348%—marking the young mother’s seventh international victory in the top-tier class. In the world’s most challenging dressage test, the Grand Prix Special, Porsche experienced a rollercoaster of emotions:
“We started off incredibly well; I had a better feeling on him than ever before. And then I made some very costly mistakes in the canter—mistakes I don’t usually make. I wasn’t focused enough; we’ll analyze that closely now and work on it. But overall, I’m very happy that Dahoud and I were able to achieve such a good result for Hungary.”
Riding the 13-year-old Dutch-bred Imhotep “Pete,” Diana Porsche competed in the World Cup. Both tests earned scores around the 70% mark: 71.370% in the Grand Prix and 74.280% in the Grand Prix Freestyle, each securing a strong fourth-place finish in an Olympic-level field.
“Pete is such a special horse. He enters the arena determined to win and gives it his all. But even though I’ve been riding him for a year and a half, I still need to get to know him better at competitions. After Stadl-Paura and Motesice, this weekend was our first outdoor competition—and his first in two years. But I’m certain: This is just the beginning—we have so much more in us!”
